How long does Mattie Brow Colour last?

Most people enjoy their result for up to 4 weeks, depending on how fast their brows grow, how often they cleanse the area and their skin type. The colour gradually softens as the tinted hairs grow out, so the result looks more natural than make-up that disappears in one wash.

Is Mattie Brow Colour safe for sensitive skin?

The formula is ammonia-free and PPD-free, but any oxidative colour product can still cause an allergic reaction, especially on sensitive skin.

If you have sensitive skin, allergies or have ever reacted to hair or brow dye, talk to a doctor or dermatologist before use. Always perform the Sensitivity Test 48 hours before every application, exactly as described in the instructions, and do not use on irritated or damaged skin.

Can I use this on my eyelashes as well?

No. Mattie Brow Colour is designed only for eyebrows.

It must never be used on eyelashes or anywhere in or around the eye area. For lash services, always visit a trained professional using products approved for eyelashes.

How do I choose the right shade?

As a simple guideline:

  • Choose a shade close to your natural brow colour if you want a natural look.
  • Go one step darker if you want stronger definition.
  • Blondes and very light brows usually look best with softer, cooler browns – not jet black.

When in doubt, start with a lighter shade and a shorter processing time. You can always deepen the colour in a second application.

Will it cover grey eyebrow hairs?

Yes. Mattie Brow Colour is designed to cover grey brow hairs and help them blend in with the rest of the brows. Very resistant grey hairs may need the full recommended processing time (5–10 minutes) to achieve a visible result.

How often can I tint my brows?

Most people re-tint their brows every 3–4 weeks, when they notice the colour has softened as new hair grows in.

You should always perform the Sensitivity Test 48 hours before every application, even if you have tinted before, and follow the instructions for mixing and timing. Do not tint again immediately if the skin is irritated or sensitive.

I’ve had a reaction to hair dye or black henna before – can I use this?

If you’ve ever had a reaction to hair dye, brow dye or a temporary “black henna” tattoo, you may have a higher risk of reacting again. In that case, you should not use brow colour products without medical advice.

Always read the warnings on the packaging carefully and perform the Sensitivity Test 48 hours before use. If you’re unsure, consult a doctor or dermatologist before colouring your brows.
